Pink Lips

Pink lipstick in soft pastel hues are gracing the lips of many makeup lovers. An easy colour to wear, it looks on most skin tones, and can add a pleasant touch of colour to a subdued outfit. MAC does some really good colours, such as snob or saint germain. For more luxe, YSL's celebration pink rouge pur is nice and creamy. With subtle eye makeup, pastel pink makes the lips pop without being too full-on.

Anchor-age

Images: fgr

Navy and white. Clean stripes. Strong red lip. These images make me wanna pack my bags and head for St. Tropez. The stripe jacket would look amaaaazing with a simple white dress, or on a cooler day/night with white jeans. Loving the nautical inspired pieces at the moment.

Couture Cocktails

So last night I indulged in a girls' night out. Sex and the city 2 followed by cocktails. The movie was great, delivering laughs and lust-worthy fashion. And now I really want to go to Abu Dhabi! As for the cocktails, they were fashionably delicious. The standout drink of the night was definitely the Miranda (yes, named after the SATC character). It was a candy apple mix of green apple juice and Belvedere citrus, shaken with pressed limes and a dash of Campari, poured over candy floss in a martini glass. Sooo pretty, and seeing the candy floss dissolve into the liquid was candy for the eyes! It was sweet with a slight bitter finish.
And no better way to finish the night with a Turkish Delight shot which tasted exactly like Cadbury turkish delight chocolate. Cocktails definitely make for a glamorous night out.

Pocketful of Daisy

Speaking of daisies (previous post), Marc Jacobs' Daisy perfume is available in a solid form. And I happen to think the way it is presented in this gorgeous gold and enamel daisy necklace, with pouch, makes it well worth investing in. I am considering putting it on a gold chain though or a key chain so I can put it in my purse. A fabulous way to freshen up when out on the town.

Daisy chains

I love daisies! Their smell, their petitie white petals, and the fresh white colour make them perfect to decorate anything. And I still haven't outgrown the childhood tradition of making a daisy chain. Such a shame they wither and die in just a couple of hours. Don't they make great headwear!
